Horizon Fitness EX76 Elliptical Trainer Review

Horizon Fitness EX76 Elliptical Trainer ReviewKonichiwa!
Horizon Elliptical Trainer Review: EX76 Elliptical
Horizon Elliptical Trainer Rating: 4.5 Stars out of 5 for a superb design and lots of extras!
Price: $999

Your Sensei is back after a needlessly long drive in traffic. A careless driver shut down two lanes of the freeway on the way back from my trip to pick up a friend from the airport. But, I promise not to let my stop ‘n go frustrations from affecting my review of the Horizon EX76 Elliptical Trainer. As a matter of fact, just thinking about the EX76 Elliptical is getting me in a better mood. You see, I hate companies that push out horrible products. Fortunately, Horizon Fitness manufactures some of the best residential grade elliptical trainers on the market. The EX76 Elliptical upholds the excellent reputation Horizon Fitness has invested years into building, let’s take a look at why.

Pros
One of the most important factors when choosing an elliptical trainer is how it feels. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to ellipticals. However, a well made elliptical goes a long way in crowd pleasing. Most people describe the motion of the Horizon EX76 Elliptical Trainer as “smooth”. If I were one of Horizon’s mechanical designers, I would be extremely pleased if I heard a customer describe my elliptical trainer with that word.

Another really cool and useful feature is the adjustable stride length. If you’re tall and someone else in your house is short, users can adjust the stride length to accommodate their height and personal preferences. Adjustable stride length is difficult to practically accomplish, (Without spending a couple grand.) but Horizon Fitness manages to deliver an excellent adjustable stride length in the Horizon EX76 Elliptical.

Horizon Fitness has also been going to great lengths to modernize their elliptical trainers and treadmills. The most visible attempt to stay current is the updated, sleek frame design. Older Horizon Elliptical Trainers looked a little out of place in modern living and exercise rooms. The EX76 is modern and sleek. The EX76 Elliptical can be kept in a living room and not look too out of place. My personal favorite update is the built in MP3 player jack. Listen to your Ipod or Zune and work out to your favorite tunes while reaching your fitness goals. There’s also an output jack for people with portable speakers.

Cons
The only thing that can make the Horizon EX76 Elliptical Trainer better is a few more programs. It comes with 16 pre programmed workout settings, but 20 would make this Horizon Elliptical infinitely better.

Final Analysis
This is one of my favorite elliptical trainers by Horizon Fitness and one of the best Ellipticals in the $1000 range. If you plan on spending some serious time on an elliptical trainer, this is one of the best options out there!
