I really liked how the Horizon Treadmill Comparison chart came out so I decided to make a chart for the 2008 Horizon Ellipticals.
If you’re looking for value, the Horizon EX56 is definitely the elliptical trainer to buy; the EX56 comes with more programs and resistance levels than most elliptical trainers in the $600 price range and the 18” stride length should accommodate most users. (Unless you’re an NBA basketball star, but you probably have enough money to build your own elliptical factory anyway.)
The EX76 is great for people who are looking for more fitness programs and customization options and are willing to pay a little extra for them The EX76 retails for just under a $1000 and is the best elliptical trainer in it’s price range.
The achillies heel in Horizon’s elliptical trainer lineup is the EX56. I can’t seem to figure out how Horizon Fitness can justify charging $799 for the EX56 Elliptical Trainer when the EX56 Elliptical can be purchased for $200 less and deliver almost the same features and identical performance.
In the end, the choice is yours and I sincerely hope you find the elliptical trainer that will get you fit and healthy in 2008.
